Diary

May 2008

Lots of Italian lessons (I can ask very expertly now for someone to pass me an exercise book) and just head down writing.

April 2008

Yet more talks in and around Barnsley and an Italian tour coming up in a few weeks which means I'll be appearing on a weekly basis in Barnsley Superdrug where the Slim-fasts are kept.

March 2008

A quiet month, I hope.  I need to seriously catch up on sitting on my backside and just writing after all the fancy gadding about.

February 2008

13th Feb - I've written an article for the Yorkshire Post to be published that day about the ideal Romantic Yorkshireman.  If you have one - write and tell me about him, I'd love to hear!  Read it and see if you agree with what I've said :)

I'll be holding the book launch of The Birds and the Bees in Barnsley Market on Saturday 23rd February  (my 44th birthday!)  There will of course be birthday cake to share - and Bee, Bird, Barnsley and Bonny Scotland themed giveaways for adults and kids. The first people to buy a copy of the book will get a free goody bag - and please support our grand raffle- £1 for 5 tickets, raffle to be drawn early March - ALL proceeds on the day to go to Barnsley HospicePrizes include signed books from lovely generous authors such as Jill Mansell, Katie Fforde, Carole Matthews, Lucie Whitehouse, Mil Millington, Stephen Booth, Bernardine Kennedy, Matt Dunn, James Nash, Lucy Diamond, Alec Sillifant, Anne Whitfield, (me as well obviously!).  There will be loads of shortbread given away - and honey - raffle prizes of wine, chocolates, Sunday Lunches, a hamper, jewellery, massages... everyone has been touchingly generous.   Exact time to be arranged, but come along and share in my big day!
